As many of you know, the Lower Cape May Regional School District uses a communications program that allows us to contact you with important recorded messages. The system is called Global Connect and is used for a host of reasons - as an example - notifying the entire student body of a school closing for weather related issues.
At the present time, the system is set to call only one phone number, which is generally your home phone. We can add up to three (3) additional numbers to the system which will enable us to contact you during the day if a need arises. You do not have to do this, but if you choose to participate please know that the system would call all of the phone numbers we have for your family at the same time. Therefore you would be contacted even if you were not at home when the call is made.
However, there are certain restrictions. Any phone number provided must be a direct line. The system cannot enter menu choices or extension numbers. Most common additional lines will be cell phones which are acceptable.
We also have the ability to notify you by e-mail. If you want this added please give us the email address at which you would like to be contacted.
This information does not change emergency contact numbers we have on file in the main office and the Guidance Department. Those numbers will still be used if we need to contact you individually regarding your son / daughter.
If you have any questions please contact Jack J. Pfizenmayer, Superintendent, or your school principal. Also, please remember that you are not required to give us this information - this is entirely up to you.
