Humanities Supplemental 11 For those of you who have come to this class period willing and raring to go, I thank you. You have shown me how a student can take on his, or her, learning path and improve things. I have been merely a guide, a fellow sojourner on a trip to your individual discoveries. I find it hard to believe that we are more than half way through the year. From Lord of the Flies to Beowulf and Macbeth, along with 12 lists of vocabulary thrown in, you have done it all. It has been a pleasure, and honor, to be a part of your growth in English. Good Luck as you finish this challenging year. Miss Crossan Supplemental 12 As you prepare to go on in your lives, I see some of the most positive and bright young people I have had the pleasure to know in my 35 years of teaching. You are on the precipice of your tomorrow. I wonder how you feel. Do you feel prepared, over scared? Have we helped you be ready for all that life will challenge you in?What can we do, I do, in the next few months? Time is running out but I am not. So when you come in to class the next time ...let me know. How can I better help you? Miss Crossan Humanities To the students I have pushed to those places that are so uncomfortable, because I have entrusted you to be responsible for what you learn. It is so much easier when the teacher does it for you. I like to open doors and hope they become interesting by your walking through them with your questions and energy. It is sometimes painful to watch you, but never boring. You teach me everyday about myself, and the world of education. You push me to self assess and analyze my direction and goals. It is why I love this job, and why halfway through the year, I already mourn our ending. I will try harder to make it mean something for all of us. I will hope that each one of you discovers a brave insight into who you are and who you can be. Miss Crossan
