This website is designed to increase communication between school and home! By clicking on the blue links in the box on the right hand side of this page, students and parents can find out what is going on each day in science class. This is great as a review, to check due dates or, if a student is absent, he or she can keep up from home. As much as possible, I am also going to include links to handouts which can be printed at home. Coming to class prepared is very important! Here is what students will need each day: Pen and/or pencil, notebook/folder, highlighter, calculator ( simple dollar store variety), composition book or spiral. Students should also be prepared to participate in class each day. This will count towards their grade! Extra Help in Science Students who are in need of extra help should make arrangements to stay after school. Please see me about extra help sessions in advance! This is highly advisable if your grade slips below a "C-"!!!! Absences Students are responsible for obtaining and making up missed assignments when they are absent. These assignments need to be completed and turned into the teacher in a timely manner. Please use this website to see what is going on in class when you are absent!! PowerSchool All grades are constantly being entered and updated in PowerSchool. This tool is very helpful for monitoring student progress. Parents and students have their own user names and pass-codes to access this information. Please make full use of this! Click here to access Power School! Late Work Turning assignments in on time is extremely important. Homework or practice/review will be corrected in class on the due date and cannot be turned in late. Labs or long-term projects can be turned in a day late but will not receive full credit.
