Biography

  I grew up in Lower Township and graduated from LCMR in 1982.  I was very active in school activities while at LCMR.  I was a member of the football team, wrestling team and baseball team and also the president of the National Honor Society.  Athletics were a big part of my high school experience.  I always try to convince students that getting involved in extra curricular activities is what makes high school fun. 

Upon graduation I attended the United States Military Academy at West Point.  After graduating from West Point I spent seven years in the US Army.  During those seven years I was stationed at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, Fort Lewis, Washington and Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland before leaving the Army to come back and teach at LCMR. 

I have been teaching here since January 1993.  I have taught almost every math subject here at LCMR including several years of teaching computer programming.  Currently I teach AP Calculus, CB Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus and CB Pre-Calculus.  

I have also spent many years here at LCMR coaching several different sports.  I have coached football, wrestling, baseball, softball and diving.  I have offically retired from coaching yet I do enjoy getting out to see my students play on a regular basis. 

Extra Help

Students that need extra help and would like to stay after school with me please try to let me know a day in advance.  I am available most afternoons we just need to communicate with each other and set up a time that works best for both of us. On most days I am in my classroom  by 7:15 in the morning as well if you need extra help.  Again, just communicate with me so we do not waste each others time. 

Books/Calculators

All students will be issued a text book and most students, depending on the class, will be issued a graphing calculator.  It is the students responsibility to return each of these items at the end of the year in good condition.  Those students that lose either item will be charged the cost of replacing the item. The text books range in price from $75 - $125 and the calculators range in price from $100 - $140.  I hate taking money from students for these items so please  take care of them.  Please do not leave your calculator in your car, cars get very hot and the batteries cannot handle the heat and they explode.

Power School

I will keep power school updated on a regular basis, so please make it a point to check your grades regularly so there are no surprises.  If you find any mistakes or do not understand anything that is posted there please bring it to my attention ASAP.
